ANB 3.0 - WNN August 29, 2019

This week I contributed to the special segment which was Q and A with Kapaa's football team. The FCC or the Federal Communications Commission is an independent Federal regulatory agency that is charged with regulating interstate and international communications by radio, wire, satellite, and cable. This has a straight connection to the arts and communications academy/pathway. The FTC or Federal Trade Commission works towards promoting consumer protection, for example, business regulation. In relation to the creation, use, and distribution of broadcast content, the FCC and the FTC they ensure compliance with legal and ethical practices by having regulations and promotion. Since broadcast is on television the FCC issues operating licenses for radio and TV stations. The FTC makes sure there is no coercive monopoly, in other words rise of prices and they make decisions in production without a risk in of competition. I agree with this because this protects the public.
