ANB 6.0 - WNN September 27, 2019

This week I worked on the special segment titled "Math Hacks". To improve Warrior News Now I would suggest maybe splitting the work in half when in groups so things could be done on time and maybe early. Currently, the process of planning my segment visuals and the shot list is saying "BROLL" and to improve that I would make a list of possible shots and shot types. The impact of pre-production planning has a major role in affecting our audience. Using compelling audio and visual ties is also big too. The words being used can push the story way more than just having music. Another thing that adds to the story is effective b-roll. B-roll keeps the viewer engaged until the end.

ANB 4.0 WNN September 20, 2019

This week Kamalei and I worked on the school news where students talk to us about what there are doing to prepare for the end of the quarter. The best part of our segment was that the interview composition was lined perfectly. A change we could make for next time would be making sure we had audio during b-roll sequences. For the sports, community, and surf report I really liked their graphic match cut and unique shots. To give them feedback I would check their audio in one of the shots during the title shot there was talking before seeing anyone. I also really liked the shell that Seth broke out of. During the special segment, I liked the "Ahaha Good morning" meme. One critique I would give would be changing the location each shot for the camera and person as well. Another thing I liked was the energy of Brianne during the segment she did a great job.

ANB 2.0 - WNN September 13, 2019

This week Kamalei and I worked on the special segment, where we vlogged 5 steps on how to survive high school. Virtual and Augmented Reality became huge in the past year, but how will it impact the broadcast industry? I think as technology evolves and other uses are being made of different types of technology newscasters will be in the VR or AR set like they're right in front of you broadcasting the news. New mediums affect accessibility to content and its distribution by who wants the item and if it is available for the common person to buy. As the evolution of tech keeps growing people may stick to old ways like the radio or television, but some might grow with technology. There are different audiences for everything and VR and AR might take over.

ANB 1.0 - WNN September 6, 2019

This week I worked on the sports, community, weather, and surf report with Seth, and on-camera host with my best friend Kainalu. I think broadcast media will change with society. There are websites that the news uses. Audiences are important for content to thrive. The radio has more of an older audience as well as cable TV, while the Internet has more of a younger audience. As generations grow older some activities may go obsolete while others thrive as time goes on. I see the broadcast industry evolving alongside societal advancement by creating apps and social media platforms to keep people informed on current events and weather.
