ANB 6.0 - WNN October 25, 2019

This week Seth and myself worked on the sports, community, weather and surf report. The weekly grind that goes on in Warrior News Now is writing and approving scripts on Monday, filming and editing Tuesday, Wednesday more filming and editing, Thursday is approval and Friday we do a critique on the show and work on writing our blogger. Communication with other students on our production team discussing b-roll or interviews helps teams work together and know what is going on.  Talking with other students about our media class informs them and that may end in interest in our class and gain leverage. Speaking with teachers outside of this class helps me understand work that is being distributed, and having face to face conversation helps me have a connection. Talking to my teacher in this class also plays a role in the outcome, impact and success of our segment by having him look over it and make sure it is at its best quality.

ANB 3.0 - WNN October 18, 2019

I worked on the special segment this week. Our school's Technology policy is actually really easy to follow we just need to make sure everything we do is with purpose. My opinion on student Wifi we should have access to it since it says "student" in the name. I do understand that the Wifi is used for the Chromebooks, but I think we should have even use of it. DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) criminalizes the production and the widespread of technology, devices, or services intended to control copyrighted products. This affects the broadcast industry because it prohibits the news to use copyrighted media without permission.

ANB 5.0 - WNN October 4, 2019

This week Kamalei and myself worked on school news. Writing the script for school news should always be put last especially when you don't know where the footage will be placed or moved around. But with pushing that aside we needed to still keep it in mind while shooting. We wrote our script by listening to the beginning of the b-roll before the voiceover and the ending of the voiceover clip. A major factor of creating a video worth watching to the audience we had to have an intriguing beginning and ending. Ultimately, we had to have a story worth telling and compose it to the best of our abilities. To succeed in front of the camera one needs to know the plan and how to direct. Those who are behind the camera has to find the best way to compose the shot so those in front of the camera look their best. Also, the cameraman has to make sure that the mics are working and sound great.
